HELSE has successfully passed the necessary trials and tests for virucide activity (ISO 21702) and antimicrobial activity (ISO 22196:2011).

WHAT IS HELSE?
HELSE is a compound incorporated into the rubber formulation of the shoe’s outsole that is capable of killing bacteria and viruses among which the coronavirus can be found.
HOW HAS THIS BEEN DEMONSTRATED?
It has been demonstrated through the use of a test based on ISO 21702 and ISO 22196 standards which form a protocol to quantify antiviral and antimicrobial properties on non-porous surfaces.
This trial is carried out on the Human Coronavirus HCoV-NL63 which belongs to the same family as SARS-CoV-2 (Covid 19)
HOW QUICKLY DOES IT KILL THE VIRUS?
In 4 hours.
The test was carried out by measuring the quantity of surviving virus 4 hours after a surface had been infected.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
This antiviral treatment will last the same as the useful life of the footwear because the antiviral treatment is included in the rubber's formulation.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The average infectious units recovered during the test using the reference materials over the course of 4 hours have demonstrated a reduction of 99%.
The test demonstrates that the compound is not toxic to human cells.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The outsole is self-decontaminating. Guaranteeing that the sole is decontaminated 4 hours after its use.
